Bundobust, Oxford Road

Client: Bundobust

Brief

A soon-to-open second site for Bundobust will be located in one of Manchester city hotspots: The Bruntwood owned St. James’ building on Oxford Street.

Upon entering the site, your eyes are drawn upwards towards the vast glass atrium. The space is light, bright and bursting with fascinating features offering clues to its many former lives as – among others – a theatre, a calico fabric printers with its own horse and cart route, and presently a car park! The vision for the interior centres around the site-exclusive in-house brewery; synthesising the characterful charm of the existing space together with an neo-industrial look. Completed with vibrant artwork and back-lit windows that spill warm light into the central eatery; creating the distinctively intimate and cosy Bundo feeling.
